We decided to retire in Mexico a few years ago. We first moved to Bucerias and lived there for about two years. We heard about this area as a nature- and eco-friendly location. We visited, and found a much more laid-back, calming environment that was a good match for our preferences.
It is remote enough to feel that you are far from a lot of the stresses of urban life. However, there are also some good places to go and things to do to keep you connected to the world as much as you might want to be.
